Saluting our Women Veterans

 

 

     Please join the BPW of Greater Fairfax at our next dinner meeting, Monday, November  10, 2008.  We are honoring our women veterans as we hear one of the most decorated women in U.S. history.  Our  special guest speaker will be Brigadier General (Ret, USAF) Wilma L. Vaught,  President of the Board of Directors of the Women In Military Service for American Memorial Foundation, Inc.   She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the BPW initiative:  Women Joining Forces:  Closing Ranks, Opening Doors.

    Come hear how General Vaught broke some of the barriers of the Armed Services as she became the first (and for 22 years), the only woman promoted to brigadier general from the Comptroller career field and many other areas where she was the first women pioneer. General Vaught is a shining example of what BPW stands for and what its mission is all about – empowering women to be all they can be and to accomplish their dreams.

Dinner will be ordered from the menu, with individual checks
